These terms cover Stem Buddy Alerts, the optional text and email alerts in the Stem Buddy Mac app. Last updated October 28, 2026.

Stem Buddy Alerts (text messages)

What it is: Stem Buddy texts you when an export you started finishes, is canceled or stops, and can send a heads-up about 10 minutes before a long export ends. Messages only say how the export ended and how many files were made.
How you sign up: in the app, Stem Buddy menu › Text/Email Alerts, choose “Text me”, enter your own US mobile number, tick the box agreeing to receive texts, and click “Save and Send Test”. You get a confirmation text.
How often: up to 2 messages per export, only for exports you start, and at most 100 texts per month (email us if you need more).
Cost: Message and data rates may apply. Stem Buddy doesn’t charge for alerts.
Stop: reply STOP to any text to stop all texts, or choose Off in Text/Email Alerts. Reply START to sign up again.
Help: reply HELP to any text, or email [email protected].
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your number is handled as described in our privacy policy. We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Same alerts by email instead of text, up to 2 per export. Choose Off in Text/Email Alerts to stop them.
